Training for Coaches
Coaches Deep Learning Circle
Who is the group for?
The group, facilitated by Dean Herman, Ph.D., provides advanced training for coaches and other change agents who desire to significantly deepen their work and their impact. Some degree of coaching or related experience is required in order to ensure a common baseline in the group and an optimal learning environment.
How will coaches benefit from the group?
The three primary benefits for group members are:
Skills Enhancements
Each monthly meeting includes a teaching segment where Dean provides higher-level skills for effectively working with challenging client situations. For example, you may learn:
- Approaches for understanding the ineffective interpersonal patterns your clients will often fall into, and specific steps for dissolving those patterns.
- Sophisticated communication techniques you can use and teach that demonstrate openness, sensitivity and executive presence.
- Skills for uncovering and transforming the deeper personality forces that undermine your clients' confidence and that are a root cause of their self-limiting behaviors.
Practical Solutions for Current Coaching Challenges
Each group meeting will have a substantial "case conference" segment where Circle members will have the opportunity to share challenges in their work and receive insights and meaningful solutions – both from Dean and from each other.
Community Support
The group members will have the support of each other in the Circle in continuously learning and growing.
When and where does the group meet?
The group meets monthly by Zoom for 10 months, for 3 hours each session. If you are interested in joining the next cohort of the Coaches Deep Learning Circle, contact Dean.
Private Consultation for Coaches
Dean is also available for private consultations with coaches. The focus of these sessions is supporting coaches in resolving challenges or "sticking points" with particular clients and overall enhancing the coach's effectiveness. Dean will typically introduce psychological and other perspectives to support coaches in seeing their clients in a new light. Coaches also learn new tools and techniques. If you're interested or have questions, please contact Dean.
